A leopard assaulted a woman in Tinsukia, Assam, early morning. The woman was washing her home’s front yard when the tragedy happened on Rongagora Road. She was hurt when the leopard jumped on her out of the blue. The woman managed to break free from the animal’s grasp despite the assault. A leopard was seen seeking refuge atop one of the Guwahati-North Guwahati Bridge’s poles early this month, which caused confusion at the bridge’s building site.
Workers at the site were in a state of widespread panic due to the unexpected sight. The leopard also assaulted a West Bengali worker named Uday Ghosh during the event. According to sources, he suffered injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Construction works came to a halt when the leopard abruptly appeared and several workers fled the scene. Following the event, local police teams and the Forest Department visited the scene.
They were ensuring the safety of the inhabitants and employees. They were attempting to reassure the leopard and relocate it to a secure area. Some employees hypothesized that the animal might have arrived at the location by crossing the Brahmaputra River. While encouraging the public to exercise caution, authorities persisted in their efforts to find and apprehend the animal.
