All Rise for Blue: Shillong and Gangtok Set to Relive the 2000s Beat

British boy band Blue is set to electrify fans in India this December as part of their 25th Anniversary World Tour, with performances scheduled in Shillong and Gangtok that promise to revive the nostalgia of early 2000s pop culture. Known for chart-topping hits like “All Rise,” “One Love,” and “Guilty,” the UK-based quartet will headline concerts in two of Northeast India’s most vibrant cities, marking their first-ever live shows in the region.

The tour kicks off in Shillong on December 11, a city that nearly hosted the band in 2023 before plans were postponed. This year, organizers have restructured the production with enhanced infrastructure and logistics, aiming to deliver one of the most memorable international pop concerts in the Northeast. The event is being promoted by Fukra, an Assam-based entertainment company.

Blue will then perform in Gangtok on December 13 at Paljor Stadium, coinciding with Sikkim’s 50th year of statehood. The Gangtok concert will be the first international music event of its scale in the state, and is expected to draw fans from across the region. The final leg of the India tour will take place in Bengaluru on December 14 at Phoenix Marketcity.

Tickets for all three venues are currently live and selling fast, with fans eager to relive the soundtrack of their youth. For many, Blue represents more than just music — they symbolize an era before streaming and social media, when pop bands shaped fashion, emotion, and identity.

The band’s return to India is part of a global celebration of their legacy, and their Northeast performances are poised to be cultural milestones for the region’s growing live music scene.
