Assam Man Arrested for Dangerous Train Stunt, Sparks Safety Concerns

Papul Alom Barbhuiya, a 27-year-old man from Assam’s Hailakandi district, was arrested for performing a dangerous stunt involving a moving train. In a video uploaded to social media, Barbhuiya was seen lying between railway tracks as a train passed over him at Lala railway station. The 31-second clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread concern over the risks associated with such stunts.

Barbhuiya, who identifies himself as a video game programmer on his social media profile, later claimed that the video was edited and cautioned others against attempting similar acts. Despite his explanation, the police arrested him for endangering public safety and violating railway regulations. He was produced in court and granted bail, but legal proceedings against him are ongoing.

The incident has raised serious questions about the lengths individuals go to for social media fame. Authorities have emphasized the dangers of such reckless behavior and warned that similar acts will attract strict legal action. The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritizing safety over online popularity.
