At Okotso village, the LMRSU triennial conference is in progress

The 15th triennial conference of the Lotha Middle Range Students Union (LMRSU), with the theme “Know Your Roots,” got underway Thursday in Okotso village. As a special guest at the opening ceremony, Agriculture Advisor Mhathung Yanthan stressed the value of attending conferences with a clear goal in mind and stated that these meetings should not only be ceremonial but should produce beneficial resolutions that benefit society.

He also emphasized the need of preserving original languages, customs, and beliefs since they are the foundation of a community’s identity. Yanthan emphasized that in the rapidly changing world of today, when technology is readily available, it is essential to use it responsibly in order to hone concepts and contribute positively to society. Representatives from the Lotha Students’ Union and the Lotha Middle Range Public Organization (LMRPO) also gave greetings.

Pastor Rev. RZ Tsanglao of Lotha Baptist Church presented a blessing prayer for the students.
