Ayurveda Day is observed by Nagaland RARC

On October 23, the Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC) Dimapur celebrated Ayurveda Day by holding a prakriti assessment camp and plantation drive at Government College, Dimapur. This year’s theme of encouraging environmental sustainability and holistic wellness was in line with the effort. According to a news release from RARC’s research officer in charge, the event began with a Prakriti evaluation camp where staff and students could get health checks. As part of a thorough health screening, participants had their hemoglobin percentage (Hb%) and random blood sugar (RBS) measured.

A plantation campaign with an emphasis on planting medicinal plants was held on the college campus in conjunction with the health camp. This project aimed to promote biodiversity conservation and increase knowledge of the medicinal uses of traditional plant resources. Ayurveda Day was launched by Dr. Deepak Rahangdale, Research Officer (Ayurveda) at RARC Dimapur, who emphasized the importance of Ayurvedic principles in wellness and preventive health in the modern healthcare system. Research Assistant (Botany) Nikhil Krishna spoke about the value of botanical gardens and medicinal plants, emphasizing how they help conserve species and enticing students to participate in environmentally friendly projects. The college community responded enthusiastically to the event, which aided in raising awareness of environmental conservation and health issues.
