Consumer rights and anti-corruption activist Kezhokhoto Savi dies

Leading consumer rights and anti-corruption advocate Kezhokhoto Savi died on Friday, leaving a history of unflinching dedication to social justice and well-being. The funeral service will take place at Ze-Naki Ground in Jakhama on December 14 at noon. Savi, an advocate by trade, was an assistant professor at Kohima Law College and the president of the Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organization. In Nagaland, he played a crucial role in advancing and defending human rights, consumer rights, and the battle against corruption. He supported a number of programs over the years that sought to hold authority accountable, provide openness, and empower citizens.

They remarked that his tireless efforts and sacrifices for the betterment of the student body and society will be deeply mourned and cherished for all time to come, acknowledging and honoring his significant contributions to the state’s and beyond’s educational well-being. They stated that they would really miss having a trustworthy educationist and leader like him at a time when pupils were emerging into new educational horizons. They offered their sincere sympathies to Savi’s family and loved ones in light of her passing. They prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
