One-Way Regulation Enforced; No Parking from Census Point to Central Baptist Church Junction
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has issued a traffic advisory in view of the ongoing peaceful democratic protest organized by the Nagaland Government Teachers’ Association (NGTA 2010 & 2013) at the Directorate of School Education, Bayavu.
To ensure smooth vehicular movement and prevent congestion, the district administration has implemented a one-way traffic regulation. Vehicles will be allowed entry from Census Point Junction through Central Baptist Church Junction up to NBCC Office/Hotel Legacy and exit via the approach road to High School Junction.
The DC also announced a strict no-parking zone from Census Point Junction to Central Baptist Church Junction between 9 am and 4 pm. Vehicles parked indiscriminately will be towed at the owner’s expense, and authorities will not be responsible for any damage caused during towing.
Participants attending the protest have been advised to carpool or use public transport to minimize traffic congestion in the area.
