Deputy CM Yanthungo Patton Calls for Naga Unity and Development at ENSF Conference

Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Yanthungo Patton, urged for greater unity and progress at the 8th Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) Cultural Fiesta-cum-General Conference 2025, held on 17th April 2024 in Tuensang.

In his address as the Chief Guest, Patton highlighted the importance of overcoming divisions within Naga society, emphasizing that unity is essential for fostering peace and development. He encouraged the student community to play an active role in bringing about societal harmony and positive change.

Patton also praised Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for his dedication to the development of Eastern Nagaland, particularly through the creation of new districts to enhance grassroots development. He urged the people of Eastern Nagaland to drive progress not only in their region but across the entire state.

The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the newly elected ENSF team and called on them to lead with wisdom and integrity for the betterment of society.

In his speech, Imtichoba MLA also recognized the contributions of ENSF pioneers and called for progress in the fields of medicine, communication, and education in Eastern Nagaland. He further encouraged students to stay away from drugs and embrace self-reliance, adapting to changing times beyond government employment.

The event featured performances, including a Folk Fusion by the Khiamniungan Students’ Union, and presentations from ENSF and other student organizations. Patton was accompanied by several prominent leaders, including Minister P. Bashangmongba Chang and Advisor K. Konngam Konyak.
