Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh has addressed recent speculation linking her romantically with Gustaakh Ishq co-star Vijay Varma, firmly stating that she is single. The clarification came during the trailer launch of her upcoming Netflix film Aap Jaisa Koi, where she spoke candidly about relationships and her personal life.
When asked about her views on love, Fatima emphasized the importance of mutual respect and individuality in a successful relationship. “The one where two people respect each other, listen to each other’s thoughts and opinions. Both will have to make equal compromises. When you are in a partnership, you work towards the relationship without losing yourself,” she said.
Responding to questions about her own relationship status, she quipped, “Acche ladke hai hi nai yaar… Koi bhi nahi hai (meri life mein). Filmon mein acche hote hai,” meaning “There are no good guys in my life. Good guys only exist in films”.
The remarks were widely interpreted as a lighthearted dismissal of the dating rumours that surfaced following Vijay Varma’s reported breakup with actor Tamannaah Bhatia. Fatima and Vijay are currently working together on Gustaakh Ishq, directed by Vibhu Puri and produced by Manish Malhotra’s Stage 5 Production.
Fatima is set to appear in two romantic dramas this July—Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, and Aap Jaisa Koi, in which she stars opposite R. Madhavan. Despite the buzz around her personal life, the actor remains focused on her professional commitments and upcoming releases.
