The Community Health Center (CHC), Medziphema, hosted a successful Ayushman Arogya Shivir (Health Camp). By setting up camps at Sub-Health Centers, Primary Health Centers (Ayushman Arogya Mandirs), and Community Health Centers, this monthly health initiative, which is part of the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, seeks to offer basic and specialized healthcare services to communities throughout the nation.
Dr. Temjensunep, Dr. Botoho, Dr. Temsu, and Dr. Vephre (Dentist) are on the team, along with visiting physicians Dr. Gerald Mosang, MCH-Neuro, Zion Hospital Dimapur, Dr. Yibenthung Ezung, Dr. Atsung Aier, CMO Dimapur, Dr. Yartenla, CMO Chumukedima, MD-Chest Medicine, Assistant Professor, Medical College, Kohima, as well as nurses, lab technicians, ophthalmic assistants, and other staff members under CHC Medziphema.
The camp offered a variety of specialized services that provided medical care to 95 beneficiaries in total. These services included: 40 neurology, 25 orthopedaedics, 20 chest medicine, 15 general surgery, 40 oral cancer screenings, 19 non-communicable disease screenings, 1 minor occupational therapy, 5 intra-articular injections, 12 HIV/AIDS tests, 6 ultrasounds, 16 eye screenings, and 3 ANC cases.
