Inter-State Gang Nabbed by Dimapur Police in SBI ATM Heist Crackdown

In a breakthrough, Dimapur Police arrested an inter-state gang involved in the loot of a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM booth in Kuda village, Dimapur, on February 20. The prompt response of the police has ensured all five persons engaged in the activity are in jail.

Confirming the arrests, Dimapur Commissioner of Police Kevithuto Sophie said that this case is one of the very first in Eastern India where all suspects in an ATM robbery have been apprehended successfully.

He assured that a detailed investigation would be done to find out more about the network of the gang and the crimes they had committed. The Commissioner praised the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for their quick and effective response in solving the case. The suspects were apprehended within three weeks of the crime, which indicates the police force’s commitment and efficiency in combating organized crime.

The arrests will help authorities discover more about the activities of the gang, including potential connections to other offenses in the area. The success is a firm deterrent against criminal behavior and supports public trust in law enforcement organs in Dimapur.
