Actress Kriti Sanon has expressed heartfelt excitement about starring in Aanand L Rai’s upcoming romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, calling it a “dream fulfilled” to work with both Rai and co-star Dhanush.
Speaking at a special screening celebrating 12 years of Raanjhanaa, Kriti surprised fans with her candid remarks. “I’ve always wanted to be part of Aanand sir’s world of soulful love stories,” she said. “I literally chased him, asking, ‘When are you making another love story?’ I’m so glad I’ve ticked that box now.”
The film reunites the acclaimed Raanjhanaa team — director Aanand L Rai, writer Himanshu Sharma, composer A.R. Rahman, and actor Dhanush — and introduces Kriti as the female lead, Mukti. The teaser, which dropped earlier this year, shows Kriti in a powerful avatar, walking through a riot with a bottle of kerosene, delivering a haunting monologue about unrequited love and emotional detachment.
Kriti praised Dhanush, calling herself a longtime admirer of his work. “It’s been a pleasure working with you,” she said, adding that a few days of filming still remain. She also hinted at a fan screening around the film’s release in late November.
Tere Ishk Mein is described as a spiritual successor to Raanjhanaa, exploring themes of longing, heartbreak, and emotional intensity. The film is set to release in Hindi and Tamil on November 28, 2025. With buzz already building, it’s poised to be one of the year’s most anticipated love stories.
