Gandhi called for the removal of “unjust” taxes, the elimination of monopolies, the opening of bank doors, and the empowerment of talented individuals. He emphasized that these steps are essential for building a strong economy, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening India.
Congress has been vocal about the government’s economic policies, highlighting issues such as rising prices, decreasing private investment, and stagnating wages, which they claim are adversely affecting the common people. The party has also flagged concerns about low consumption expenditure and inequality, advocating for a shift in policymaking focus from cronyism to bottom-up empowerment, starting with boosting rural incomes.
