Silver futures gain on demand

New Delhi, May 16: Silver prices rose marginally by Rs 15 to Rs 96,520 per kg in futures trade on Friday as participants increased their bets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contracts for July delivery rose marginally by Rs 15, or 0.02 percent, to Rs 96,520 per kg in a business turnover of 20,481 lots.

Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to the rise in silver prices.

Globally, silver was trading 0.61 percent lower at $32.44 per ounce in New York.
