The Zhavame Tourism Board organized a community walk for schoolchildren in Zhavame village, Phek district. The event, which aimed to raise awareness about cultural heritage among the younger generation, included P. Paul Dukru, a jury board member of the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) and former Village Council Chairman, as the resource person. The program comprised a guided tour of historical locations, storytelling sessions, and quiz competitions for a total of 69 schoolchildren.
According to the organizers, the major goal was to teach the youngsters about their ancestors and instill a greater sense of cultural ethics. Dukru addressed the participants, emphasizing the significance of conserving traditional knowledge and encouraging the youngsters to be proud of their rich cultural legacy. The event culminated with an interactive session in which the youngsters expressed strong interest in the stories and historical insights presented during the walk.
