Weapons and ammunition found in Manipur’s Kakching district

Assam Rifles and the Indian Army collaborated to retrieve an enormous cache of weapons and ammunition from the Kakching area of Manipur on Wednesday. A joint team of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles conducted a thorough search operation on August 7 in response to specific information regarding the presence of weapons in the periphery of the Kakching district of Manipur. During the operation, they retrieved one AK rifle, one 12 bore single barrel rifle, two 9mm pistols, eleven grenades, ammunition, and other war-related supplies. A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said that the recovered materials have been turned over to the Manipur Police for additional examination and disposal.

In the general vicinity of Uyungmakhong in Bishnupur District, Manipur, the Indian Army and the Manipur Police conducted a thorough search operation earlier this month and confiscated two AK-47 rifles, one sniper rifle, one 9mm handgun, three grenades, and other war-like items. The Army and other law enforcement authorities work together seamlessly to provide security and safety in the area, as evidenced by the effective seizure of these war-like businesses. The Indian Army is steadfast in its pursuit of regional peace and stability.
